The team at MagMed have personally enjoyed the benefits of Infrared Therapy for many years and have seen the positive impact it has had on our own sense of health and wellbeing and that of others with whom we have shared it. We first started using a Physiotherm infrared cabin when we lived in New Zealand. A chronic bad back and neck that were the result of various accidents and injuries from Rugby, skiing and most notably a sailing accident had resulted in restricted movement and almost constant pain that was severely impacting my health, wellbeing and lifestyle. I was fed up and had tried pretty much everything else in both standard and alternative medicine in an attempt to help alleviate the symptoms and pain.

After only a 15 minute infrared session in a Physiotherm cabin my back was noticeably better with less pain and improved movement. In actual fact I didn’t really believe it and initially discounted the way I felt. However, I was intrigued and went for another full 30 minute session with a natural health practitioner a few days later. After that session I simply could not ignore the fact that my back and neck were so much better. I had no pain and much greater range of movement. This lasted for a number of days and after another session it was even better. I had a new lease of life it was fabulous! So after comparing with a number of other infrared units available on the market we came back to MagMed’s Physiotherm units as they just seemed so much better in quality of construction and infrared technology and we invested in our own cabin for home, which we used daily for the first 3 months we had it and still use it about 3 times a week 5 years later.

We felt comfortable to promote Physiotherm in the UK not only because we had felt the benefit ourselves but also because they had a good relationship with medical professionals who were endorsing their technology and in 2005 they released the summary findings of the medical study that was undertaken on the physiological effects of the Physiotherm infrared system. We also felt a connection with the inventor of the Physiotherm technology, Luis Schwarzenberger, as he too had improved his bad back with infrared heat. In fact he a very serious skiing accident and it was his experience of healing 3 fractured vertebrae with infrared heat that lead to the development of Physiotherm. Over the past 8 years MagMed have helped 1000’s of customers with their own IR cabins and also created strong relationships with commercial businesses that include Center Parcs and Champneys. It is our goal that Infrared Therapy become a widely accepted and commonly used means of improving the health and wellbeing of the population, and with record levels of ill health, there has never been a better time to do so! We believe that the need for personal responsibility for our own health is stronger than ever and as a result people are actively seeking effective tools to maximise their health and wellbeing.
